LAKE LEDRO

The turquoise pearl

THE TURQUOISE PEARL OF THE VALLEY

WRAPPED FROM THE EMBRACE OF THE MOUNTAINS

A morainic barrier gave rise to the magnificent Lake Ledro which is located at 655 meters above sea level. It is a stretch of bathing water touched by four equipped beaches where you can sunbathe, spend a whole day outdoors and practice water sports. The discovery in 1929 of the important pile-dwelling settlement has marked the history of the lake since since 2011 the entire area affected by the discovery has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tour of the lake is a simple circular route. Passing on dirt tracks, asphalted roads and observing wonderful views, hikers leave and arrive in Molina di Ledro.
